Awards
CMH is a three-time recipient (in 2010, 2014 and 2018) of the Missouri Quality Award, which is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The award recognizes CMH's use of an extensive strategic planning process modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality standards to achieve growth.
CMH's quality, service and commitment to the community are reinforced by awards from external organizations. Some of the top awards include:
- Innovation in electronic medical records: Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society gave CMH the Davies Award of Excellence for innovative efforts with CMH's patient electronic medical record system.
- One of the nation's "Most Wired" hospitals: CMH is one of the nation’s “Most Wired” hospitals and health systems, given by the American Hospital Association awarded 13 years in a row. In 2014, CMH won the "Most Wired Innovator" Award, which is given annually to three hospitals in the nation that apply technology in new and innovative ways.
- Heart attack care award: Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Gold Quality Achievement Award and the Mission: Lifeline® NSTEMI Bronze Quality Achievement Award demonstrate excellent patient outcomes and implementation of specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer heart attacks.
- Award of Excellence: The Midwest Association of Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals recognized the CMH Senior Health Center program in 2019.
- Commitment to Quality: The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living gave Bronze Commitment to Quality awards in 2020 and 2022 for several of the CMH Foundation long-term care facilities.
- Golf Performance Award: The American College of Cardiology gave CMH the NCDR Chest Pain - MI (Myocardial infarction) Registry Gold Performance Achievement Award in 2022.
- SBJ Dynamic Dozen: Springfield Business Journal has honored CMH as a Dynamic Dozen honoree for multiple years for being among the top 12 fastest-growing companies in southwest Missouri.
- Auxiliary of the Year: The Missouri Association of Hospital Auxiliaries named the CMH Auxiliary the 2013 Auxiliary of the Year for volunteer services to the health care community for an auxiliary with 151-300 members.
- Level II STEMI Center: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services recognized CMH as a Level II STEMI Center. CMH is the only STEMI Center between Springfield and Kansas City to receive this accreditation.
