Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI)

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) through Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) is focused on the safe management of disruptive and assaultive behavior through de-escalation techniques and is open to CMH Employees Only. 

Education services

Any employee may attend; enroll in HealthStream; must complete an initial class first before registering for a refresher class; CNE credit for attending an initial course. Receive blue certification card following successful completion of test and skill demonstration; valid for 1 year; $14 workbook is provided; if you cannot attend, un-enroll in HealthStream prior to class. Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to participate in the practice, demonstration, and competency portion of class. Initial class is 8hrs, refresher class is 4hrs.
