Step Up for Success

Citizens Memorial Hospital and the CMH Foundation support current and future employees’ educational needs through Step Up for Success. No matter where you are in your educational journey, you can receive up to $20,000* in financial assistance. Step Up for Success includes the Medical Excellence Fund, Employee Tuition Assistance and Employee Loan Forgiveness.

High School and College Students

The Medical Excellence Fund helps high school and college students. It offers educational support for those who want to work in healthcare. Young scholars can get help through two programs: one for high school seniors and another for college students.

Medical Excellence High School Scholarship

High school seniors can apply for a $1,000 scholarship if they want to work in the medical field. The one-time scholarship has no requirement to work at CMH after graduation.

Medical Excellence College Program

College students who are accepted into a healthcare-related degree program can apply. The Program award includes a requirement to work at CMH after graduation. You may qualify for more than one year of financial help.

Application Deadline: Last day of February (spring semester) and Aug. 31 (fall semester)

CMH Employees

We want to reward our employees for taking the next step in their careers through further education. You can use Tuition Assistance, Employee Loan Forgiveness, or both — up $20,000 for all aid programs.*

Employees eligible for participation include:

  • Laboratory Technicians (MST and MLT)
  • Licensed Social Workers
  • Radiology Technicians
  • Registered Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Respiratory Therapists
  • Therapists (Occupational, Physical and Speech)

Both programs include a requirement to continue working at CMH after graduation. The employee commits to working at CMH for a year for every $5,000 in assistance received.

*Part-time employees can receive half of the Employee Loan Forgiveness benefit. PRN are NOT eligible.

Employee Tuition Assistance

Apply for Tuition Assistance to help pay your tuition for current college enrollment. We'll make payments directly to your educational institution.
