Community Springs Healthcare Facility welcomes Zadesha Gordon, M.D., as medical director

Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs welcomes Zadesha Gordon, M.D., a specialist in geriatric medicine, as its new medical director.

“Dr. Gordon understands the complex health needs many older adults face,” said Vautrin Cadle, administrator. “Her experience in geriatrics and caring for conditions such as dementia, osteoporosis and delirium will make a real difference for our residents.”

Cadle added that Dr. Gordon’s compassion and dedication to older adults align with the facility’s commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care.

Dr. Gordon earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua in Osbourn, Antigua. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Harvard Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She is board-eligible in internal medicine and geriatric medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Gordon is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society.

She joined the Citizens Memorial Hospital medical staff in August 2025 and will assume the role of medical director at Community Springs on April 1. Dr. Gordon also cares for residents at Butterfield Residential Care Center and Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar.
