Cyndi Zerbey recognized as 10-time CMH DAISY Award nominee
Citizens Memorial Hospital has awarded Cyndi Zerbey, LPN, the DAISY Platinum Award after she received 10 nominations for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Zerbey is a licensed practical nurse with CMH’s Medical Surgical Unit.
Over the years, patients and families have nominated Zerby for her kindness, compassion and exceptional care. She is described as encouraging and positive, cheering patients through recovery and providing comfort and dignity during life’s most difficult moments, including end-of-life care. Many have noted how she goes above and beyond to care not only for patients but also for their families, creating a calm, personal connection that makes them feel valued and supported.
The DAISY Award honors nurses who consistently demonstrate exceptional skill, compassion and commitment to patient care.
“To be nominated 10 times is a remarkable achievement,” said Sarah Hanak, CMH system chief nursing officer. “It speaks to Cyndi’s dedication, professionalism and the deep trust she has earned from patients, families and fellow staff.”
