Chris Neff receives September 2025 CMH DAISY Award
Citizens Memorial Hospital announces that Chris Neff, a licensed practical nurse at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, has received the CMH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for September 2025.
Neff was nominated by a co-worker who praised her for dedication, compassion and professionalism. The nomination read:
“Chris has been a nurse for many years, and her experience is evident in the way she cares for each resident with dignity, respect and genuine kindness. She consistently goes above and beyond for both her residents and her colleagues. She approaches each day with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, never hesitating to step in where she's needed.”
“The staff trusts her, relies on her knowledge and appreciates the calm and capable presence she brings to every shift. What makes Chris truly special is her heart. She was born to be a nurse, and it shows in everything she does. Whether comforting a resident, mentoring a new team member or simply taking the time to listen, Chris makes a difference in countless lives every day.”
“She is a true example of what nursing is all about, and it’s time she received the appreciation she deserves.”
About the DAISY Award
The DAISY Award was established by the DAISY Foundation in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who passed away at the age of 33 from an autoimmune disease. DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The international award is a thank you to nurses everywhere for the extraordinary care they provide.
CMH launched the DAISY Award program in January 2019. Each month, a CMH or Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation nurse receives the award.
