Rachel Crazybear receives the August 2025 CMH TULIP Award
Rachel Crazybear received the August 2025 CMH TULIP Award. She is a speech therapist at Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility in Stockton.
A co-worker nominated Rachel for the TULIP Award, recognizing her compassion, dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for her patients.
The nomination reads, “Rachel from speech therapy sat with one of my patients for an hour and a half on Monday and Tuesday. This patient, prior to Rachel visiting, was refusing care and not being cooperative with staff. After Rachel left on Monday, my patient went on to describe how she made them feel like they can do this and changed the patient’s outlook and behavior.
“On Tuesday, all the patient could talk about was when Rachel was coming. I ran into her in the hall, and she mentioned she was assisting at several different facilities that day. After a long and full day, Rachel still came by the unit to keep her promise to the patient. Then Rachel proceeded to spend an hour and a half with the patient. She truly deserves to be recognized for her empathy, patience and keeping her promises whenever it’s not easy.”
Rachel typically works at Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility, where she provides speech therapy services for residents. At the time of her nomination, she was assisting patients in the ICU at Citizens Memorial Hospital.
