Charlene Wilson named recipient of the August 2025 CMH DAISY Award
Charlene Wilson, LPN, received the August 2025 CMH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She is a licensed practical nurse at CMH Hospice.
Wilson was nominated by the daughter of a patient who shared heartfelt appreciation for the care Wilson provided.
“Charlene was a blessing to our family from the first day she came to visit. She always brought a smile to my mom’s face, even when she wasn’t feeling well. Charlene was kind, gentle, compassionate, caring and professional. She would always do anything we needed and would make sure we had any supplies and medication we needed.”
The nominator went on to say, “When my mom was in her last few days, Charlene was very caring, sympathetic and loving. She felt like family. We love her and miss her visits!"
About the DAISY Award
DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The DAISY Foundation established the award in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of an auto-immune disease. The international award thanks nurses everywhere.
CMH started the DAISY Award program in January 2019. A CMH or Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation nurse receives the award each month.
