May 2023 CMH TULIP Award goes to Kyle Shoemaker

Kyle Shoemaker, DPT, is the May 2023 CMH TULIP Award recipient. He is a physical therapist at Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Therapy and Occupational Health Services.

A patient nominated him for the TULIP Award.

“After six to seven months of therapy for a difficult condition, I felt that Kyle gave 300% to my care,” the patient wrote. “What an exceptional asset he is to CMH. The entire department of physical therapy from Stephanie to my therapist Kyle is a joy to attend. The results and care from each deserve a medal at the very least and much more. They all are great at what their task is for the day. Award-winning care.”

About the TULIP Award

Citizens Memorial Hospital/Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation created the TULIP Award in June 2021 to recognize outstanding caregivers who assist in direct patient care.

TULIP stands for Thoughtful, Unforgettable, Lasting Impact on Patient Care. The award committee selects one honoree each month.

The TULIP Award is given in conjunction with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing. Nominate a patient caregiver for the CMH TULIP Award.
