Citizens Memorial Hospital welcomes licensed professional counselor, Allyssa Dedmon, to the medical staff.

Allyssa Dedmon, LPC

Dedmon will see patients at Dallas County Family Medical Center, Buffalo and Pleasant Hope Family Medical Center, Pleasant Hope.

Dallas County Family Medical Center

Dedmon joins the school-based therapy team for Dallas County R-1 School District providing on-site counseling and therapy services to students through 12th grade during regular school hours as needed.

She can help students with depression, anxiety, recent loss/grief and behavioral issues, including aggression, defiance, hyperactivity, anger outbursts, acting out sexually, cutting/suicidal ideations, substance use and bullying.

Special arrangements can be made to schedule appointments during after-school hours and summer months. Most major insurance plans are accepted and financial assistance is available.

The counseling services are confidential and adhere to state licensing and HIPAA regulations.

Pleasant Hope Family Medical Center

Dedmon provides counseling services for patients ages 12 and older at Pleasant Hope Family Medical Center.

She can help patients with behavioral health concerns such as grief, trauma, suicide ideation, anxiety and substance abuse.

Dallas County Family Medical Center and Pleasant Hope Family Medical Center are CMH rural health clinics.

Dedmon earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drury University, a master’s degree in human development and family science from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a second master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Evangel University.
