The TULIP Award was established June 2021 by CMH and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation and is a recognition program for outstanding nursing assistants, medical assistants and patient care technicians who assist in direct patient care.

Hardman earned her CNA license through the nursing assistant program at Community Springs Healthcare Facility in 2006. She has worked for the facility for 15 years as a CNA and RMT, and is planning to attend nursing school to become a licensed practical nurse.

She was nominated by a coworker for her attention to care, positive attitude, willingness to help and for showing CMH PRIDE.

The nomination read, “I cannot give you just one day or experience with Jessica. Each and every time she enters the building she comes with a smile and aspiration to give the best care and attention to each person she interacts with. She is always ready to learn. She helps coworkers as much as she helps our residents. Her attention to care is superlative, taking pride in everything she does.”

When asked what it meant to receive this award Hardman said, “It means a lot. I do come in here and try my hardest to make sure my residents are happy and taken care of. I also try to help my coworkers the best I can and make sure they are happy as well.”

Hardman appreciates her coworkers saying, “I have a great team to work with. Everyone works together and we are more like a family instead of coworkers,” said Hardman.

She also thanked Community Springs Healthcare Facility administration saying, “Thank you to all my bosses for appreciating me, it means so much.”
