CMH Sports Medicine Center to host summer camp for middle school athletes

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Sports Medicine Center will host a week-long performance camp for middle school athletes July 15 - 19 from 9 a.m. – noon at Southwest Baptist University (SBU).

The cost is $60 and pre-registration is required.

The camp is designed to assess the athlete’s movement in regards to their physical performance. Each student athlete will undergo a movement assessment by CMH athletic trainers and become educated on proper movement techniques that are personalized to their own physical abilities. There will be an additional education component focused on healthy life-choices including nutrition, hydration, mental health and mindfulness, as well as teamwork and leadership to prepare the students for the physical and social demands of high school athletics.
