CMH welcomes Clinical Neuropsychologist Robert Denney

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) welcomes Clinical Neuropsychologist Robert Denney, Psy.D., to the medical staff. Dr. Denney joins Board Certified Neurologist Curtis P. Schreiber, M.D., Physician Assistant Bethany Corey, PA-C, and Psychologist Dana LaMair, Psy.D., on staff at Missouri Memory Center, located at 1245 N. Butterfield, Suite C1, Bolivar.

Dr. Denney received a master of arts in psychology and a doctor of psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Mo. He is board certified in clinical neuropsychology and forensic psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Denney is a fellow and past president (2009) of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and a fellow of the American Psychological Association - Division 40 (Clinical Neuropsychology).

Dr. Denney was a forensic psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield for more than 20 years. He also served as professor by distinction and coordinator of neuropsychology at the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute in Springfield. He currently has an independent practice in forensic psychology and clinical neuropsychology at Neuropsychological Associates of Southwest Missouri in Springfield.

Patients are seen by a neuropsychologist when there is concern about medical or mental health conditions that can affect cognitive functioning. Neuropsychological assessment typically focuses on attention, concentration, learning and memory, problem solving, emotional and personality issues, behavior and functional independence.
