Stephanie Clegg named recipient of the June 2025 CMH DAISY Award
Stephanie Clegg, RN, has been named the June 2025 recipient of the CMH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She is a registered nurse with Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department.
Clegg was nominated for the DAISY Award by CMH Emergency Department physician Dr. Marcelo Assmann.
“We had a patient that needed ear wicks placed in her ears. Unfortunately, we were not able to find any of our supplies in the emergency room, and the only place that had them was one of our local clinics.
“Stephanie called around and found out which clinic had the wicks, personally picked them up and brought them back to the emergency department so we could take care of this patient and avoid an unnecessary transfer. Then she also made sure we ordered more and got them stocked in the correct place.
“This is a great example of someone who goes above and beyond every day to take care of her community.”
About the DAISY Award
DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The DAISY Foundation established the award in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of an auto-immune disease. The international award thanks nurses everywhere.
CMH started the DAISY Award program in January 2019. A CMH or Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation nurse receives the award each month.
