CMH Addiction Recovery featured in national publication
Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Addiction Recovery Program is featured in the online Rural Health Information Hub as a successful model for rural health care.
CMH Addiction Recovery is an outpatient treatment program for people with substance use disorders such as opioid and alcohol use. The program operates five days a week and helps 400 patients each month. The primary location is Butterfield Park Medical Center in Bolivar, with providers at clinics in El Dorado Springs, Hermitage and Osceola.
“When I came to CMH, I realized very quickly that patients had unmet addiction recovery needs. After running the program for five years, we have so many success stories,” said Kurt Bravata, M.D., director of CMH Addiction Recovery. “I hope that sharing the success of our addiction recovery program will help other rural health systems implement this critical service in their communities.”
