CMH employees fund health initiatives at area schools
Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation is funding health and wellness initiatives at nine area schools this fall. The gifts were donated through Club 1982, the employee-giving program at Citizens Memorial.
Area school nurses submitted health and wellness needs, projects and services that would improve the overall health of their entire school district. Club 1982 committee members reviewed and awarded the following requests:
- Bolivar R-1 $500
- Dadeville R-II $500
- Exceptional Pupil Cooperative $50
- Fair Play R-11 $100
- Halfway R-3 $250
- Marion C. Early R-V $500
- Weaubleau R-III $300
- Willard R-II $525
About Club 1982
Citizens Memorial’s Club 1982 is the employee-giving program at Citizens Memorial and invests in employees, the organization’s greatest asset. Club 1982 helps support staff personally and professionally and invites them to join CMH’s philanthropy culture.
An employee oversight committee manages Club 1982 funds and more than 600 CMH employees give to the program monthly. There are four areas of support: employee crisis care, scholarship, patient/resident compassion and special projects. For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, the special projects subcommittee chose to give back to area school nurses.
