Description: Centralized Customer Service Department employees will exhibit a service oriented attitude in all daily interaction with internal and external customers. Emphasis will be placed on effective communication skills to avoid misunderstanding. Centralized Customer Service Department employees will respond to both physician and hospital incoming calls from patients regarding billing and collections of a patient account that resides on Meditech, LSS or Unisource systems; will initiate corrective actions immediately when opportunities for improvement are identified; answers patient account questions about insurance claims and/or EOB on a hospital or physician bill; sets up payment agreements; processes credit card payments taken over the phone; mails out promissory notes to patients; mails charity applications; updates and changes insurance information; updates patient or guarantor demographics; responds to caller questions regarding in-network contract coverage for their insurance and insurance denial questions; and performs duties as assigned by the PA Supervisor; behaves in a manner consistent with mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties as requested.
Shift: shift 1 Days Monday through Friday
