CMHCF nurse named MHCA District IV Employee of the Year

Howard Cook, a charge nurse for Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility (CMHCF) in Bolivar, was recently named Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) District IV Employee of the Year.

Cook received the award during the MHCA Mini Convention on May 18 in Springfield. He has worked for CMHCF for 28 years.

CMHCF is a 111-bed long-term care facility located in Bolivar, Mo. It is owned and operated by Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation.

CMHCF coworkers nominated Cook for the award stating that he is a team player and show CMH pride in his work every day. CMHCF residents shared that Cook genuinely cares about them and show that by the way he cares for them and how he makes them feel. He focuses on them when he is with them.

MHCA is Missouri’s largest association of licensed, long-term health care facilities, residential care facilities and assisted living facilities with headquarters in Jefferson City. With nearly 320 facility members, MHCA represents over 65 percent of Missouri’s licensed skilling nursing care facility along with many residential care and assisted living facilities, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of long-term care.
