June is National Men’s Health Month and according to the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), women are 100 percent more likely to visit the doctor for an annual examination and preventative services than men. “Men’s Health Day is an opportunity for CMH to raise awareness of preventable health problems and educate and encourage men, of all ages, to be active and participate in their health,” says Donald J. Babb, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CMH.

CMH will offer discounted blood tests: Lipid Panel ($25); Blood CMP ($20); TSH/Free T4 ($30); CBC ($15); Pt/INR Screening ($20); Hgb A1C Screening ($20) and physician’s order only PSA ($30).  For more accurate results, please fast prior to your blood draw. The PSA test is a blood sample and does not require fasting.

Other screenings and wellness information available at the event will include: chair massages; colorectal screening kits; hearing; blood pressure; height and weight; smoking cessation; weight management; nutrition; University of Missouri Extension; Central Care Cancer Center; and the following CMH clinics and services: CMH Eye Specialty Center; Carrie J.
