CMH Sports Medicine Center Receives Proclamation from Governor Nixon
During the month of March, Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) celebrated National Athletic Training Month. The month is dedicated to the Certified Athletic Trainers around the nation for their commitment to the health and wellbeing of athletes and patients.
On March 16, the staff members at the CMH Sports Medicine Center accepted a proclamation signed by Governor Jay Nixon on behalf of the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association (MoATA). Governor Nixon proclaimed the month of March as National Athletic Training Month in Missouri.
“We were very excited and honored to receive the Governors Proclamation on behalf of MoATA,” said Morgan Simpson, AT, Director of CMH Sports Medicine Center. As MoATA Past President and Public Relations Officer, Simpson has been a leading advocate for the recognition of healthcare services provided by Missouri athletic trainers.
“We are very proud of our athletic trainers at CMH. They bring exceptional sports medicine services and patient care to the athletes in our community,” says Donald J. Babb, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of CMH.
