CMH physician attains certification by ABIM in infectious disease
Citizens Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Edemekong Bassey, M.D., was recently certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Infectious Disease.
Dr. Bassey graduated with his medical degree from the University of Calabar in Nigeria. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, and an infectious disease fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
His practice includes a variety of procedures including: general infectious diseases; ambulatory antimicrobial chemotherapy; HIV/AIDS care; infection control and hospital epidemiology; transplantation infectious diseases; antimicrobial stewardship; preventative care services and chronic disease management.
Dr. Bassey is well-trained to care for patients with infectious diseases and patients with undiagnosed diseases. He is on the medical staff at CMH in Bolivar and has openings for new patients.
