CMH Dietitian To Be Awarded Missouri ‘Recognized Young Dietitian’
Adam Pruett, director of health and wellness and clinical dietitian for Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, will be presented the “Recognized Young Dietitian” Award on April 10 in St. Louis by the Missouri Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
This award is presented to members of the Missouri Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics who are 35 years of age or younger and who have demonstrated leadership qualities and performance in public relations, research, community outreach, management, legislation, education and other areas related to the profession, on the job and in the community.
Pruett was named dietitian for CMH on March 24. Previously he served as registered dietitian and nutrition center supervisor for Mercy-Springfield for nearly six years and was the dietetic internship preceptor for Cox College and Missouri State University. Pruett earned a bachelor of science in dietetics from Missouri State University and a master of health administration from Webster University. Pruett has advanced knowledge in weight management services, medical nutrition therapy and nutrition diagnostics.
