CMH receives awards at Missouri Health Care Association Convention
CMH facilities shine during statewide health care convention
The Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA) hosted its annual convention Aug. 25-28 at the Branson Convention Center. During the awards ceremony, healthcare facilities and employees received recognition for exemplary service and achievement. This year Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation (CMH) was praised for excellence in all of its facilities, as well as for excellence in employee leadership and initiative.
CMH facilities Ash Grove Healthcare Facility and Parkview Healthcare Facility, Bolivar, both won the MyInnerView’s Excellence in Action Award for Workforce Satisfaction and Resident Satisfaction. This award ranks these CMH facilities as being among the top 10 percent in the nation in both of these categories.
Butterfield Residential Care Center, Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, Colonial Springs Healthcare Center and Lake Stockton Health Care Facility, all CMH facilities, were each awarded the MIV Excellence in Action Award for Resident Satisfaction.
Chris Vickers, Administrator of Community Springs Healthcare Facility, El Dorado Springs, won the MHCA David Duncan Administrator of the Year award.
CMH employees were elected to serve in various MHCA office positions at this year’s convention. Tim Francka, Administrative Director of Long-Term Care Facilities East, was re-elected to serve as President for the MHCA Board of Directors. Chris McBratney, Administrative Director of Long-Term Care Facilities West, was re-elected to serve on the Board as the Non-Proprietary Conference Chairman, and George Colbert, Administrator of Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility, continues his service as an MHCA Delegate.
In addition to the elections, CMH employees also received recognition for achievement at this year’s awards ceremony. Donald J. Babb, CMH Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director, received the Platinum Award for his commitment and support of MHCA, and Derek Hunter, a member of the CMH Board of Directors, received the MHCA President’s Legacy Award for his vision, expertise, innovation and commitment to long-term health care leadership.
