CMH Cardiac Wellness Program in Stockton provides free exercise in a safe environment
For almost two years, the Cardiac Wellness Program at the Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Stockton Rehabilitation Clinic has enhanced the lives of many heart patients in the Stockton area.
What started as a small community outreach has now grown to four class times on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Under the direction of Donna Boeke, the program is free of charge to those who are 55 years of age and older and have a signed physician release.
“The CMH Cardiac Wellness Program in Stockton provides heart patients an on-site supervised exercise session. The hour-long classes not only keep your heart in shape, but studies show that group exercise programs are good for your social and mental health as well,” says Boeke.
The program currently has a few openings available. Class times are 8:15, 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The CMH Stockton Rehabilitation Clinic is located at 1521 S. Third Street. For more information about the Stockton Cardiac Wellness Program call 417-276-2401 or www.citizensmemorial.com.
