Parkview Healthcare Facility continues as OSHA Star participant
Parkview Healthcare Facility, Bolivar, was recently approved for continued participation in the Star Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) as a “Star” participant for exemplary achievement in employee safety and health. This status is part of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cooperative program.
The Voluntary Protection Program is designed to recognize and promote effective employee safety and health program management through national standards. Parkview Healthcare Facility made voluntary application to OSHA and the VPP program. “Star” participants meet all of OSHA’s VPP requirements. Parkview Healthcare Facility has been part of the OSHA VPP program since 1999, as the third skilled facility in the nation to reach this accomplishment. Parkview Healthcare Facility is one of 13 skilled nursing facilities in the United States to receive the VPP honor. Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH) facilities hold six of the 13 positions in this program.
