Stockton Nursing Home, Inc. to merge with Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation Sept. 1
Citizens Memorial Healthcare (CMH) board of directors and Donald J. Babb, chief executive officer/executive director of CMH announce the merger of Stockton Nursing Home (SNH), Inc., with CMH Foundation on Sept. 1, 2011. Stockton Nursing Home will be the sixth long-term care facility operated by CMH.
Approval from the SNH membership to merge with CMH Foundation was unanimous. The vote was held during a special meeting July 13 at SNH.
“We are very excited to be working along side the employees and residents of Stockton Nursing Home. We’ve been in the Stockton community for more than 22 years,” says Babb. “We will continue to invest in the Stockton Nursing Home facility and in the community using additional resources to enhance current services and to adapt to meeting changing needs. Within the next six years we plan to build a new skilled facility to replace the current facility and turn the current facility into an assisted living facility.”
CMH operates five long-term care facilities in the following locations: Ash Grove Healthcare Facility, Ash Grove; Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, Bolivar; Colonial Springs Healthcare Center, Buffalo; Community Springs Healthcare Facility, El Dorado Springs; and Parkview Healthcare Facility, Bolivar. CMH also operates one residential care facility, Butterfield Residential Care Center, Bolivar.
