CMH to host open house, ribbon cutting ceremony at new CMH Wound and Hyperbaric Center
Citizens Memorial Healthcare will host an open house and ribbon–cutting ceremony at the new CMH Wound and Hyperbaric Center located at 1300 N. Oakland in the CMH Professional Building on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. – noon. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Community members will be able to get an up–close view of the hyperbaric chambers, tour the facility, and ask questions from board-certified surgeons.
The new service at CMH offers hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBO) in addition to other wound treatments. HBO is a medical treatment that is performed to aid in the process of healing damaged or diseased tissue. HBO is performed with high pressure oxygen, which enriches the patient’s bloodstream with oxygen, greatly speeding up the body’s healing ability.
CMH is one of the few healthcare facilities in the region to offer state-of-the-art wound and hyperbaric services.
