CMH Senior Health Center purchases seated elliptical from donations
Citizens Memorial Senior Health Center recently purchased an XR6000 Octane seated elliptical machine for its workout center. “This machine is great for seniors because it works out the upper and lower body while allowing the user to sit,” says Jody Pool, coordinator of the CMH Senior Health Center. The money used to purchase the machine was raised through fund raising as well as donations.
The CMH Senior Health Center raised $1,300 through a bake sale, another $1,000 was donated by approximately 25 Senior Health Center members, and the remaining $1,500 was donated in a dollar-for-dollar matching agreement made by Robert D. Cagle, D.O., with CMH ENT and Allergy Clinic, and Citizens Memorial Healthcare. “We want to thank everyone who participated in funding this machine,” says Pool.
Membership to the CMH Senior Health Center is free and open to anyone over the age of 55 in Polk, Greene, Dallas, Dade, Hickory, Cedar and St. Clair Counties.
