In order for Citizens Memorial Hospital and its sister facilities and programs to maintain the highest standards of service to our patients, the ability to acquire highly capable and trained personnel to the medical community is crucial. In 1990, the Medical Excellence Fund was established as a perpetual fund to sustain the excellent standards of health care provided by CMH.

This permanent endowment fund was designed to encourage students from the surrounding areas to enter the medical profession, with the agreement between the student and CMH to provide scholarships to those pursuing accredited courses of study. After the completion of study, students seek employment in our home region, thus perpetuating the level of care and service to our communities.
